Instant Turf Berwick
Be the envy of all of your neighbours the help of Instant Turf Melbourne! Choose from our range of instant turf varieties to create a beautiful lawn for your family to enjoy.
When you’ve installed your new Instant Turf, make sure to water well. If you have once, use a lawn roller to compact the turf against the soil. Then, simply water your new turf (in the morning when the sun is rising or in the evening to reduce water evaporation!) every day for 10 days. Water the grass enough to wet the earth, but try not to flood and over water the new turf.
Also try and avoid walking on the newly laid turf to let it establish it’s roots. If you have pets, it’s best for the future of your lawn to barricade them away for at least a week (but make sure they still get some outside time by taking them for extra walks and attention!).
After you’ve received your turf from us at Instant Turf Melbourne, and once it’s been laid, keeping your new lawn healthy doesn’t necessarily mean lots of chemicals and sprays! Regular watering, mowing and correct fertilising will keep your lawn looking great season after season.
Watering: It’s important to water your lawn at certain points during the day, so you’re not losing precious water by evaporation! Water your lawn in the early morning or just as the sun is about to set to maximise the amount of water your lawn receives.
Mowing: Mowing regularly to keep your lawn nice and trim – but don’t mow at the lowest setting! For lawn health, leaving the grass at a good length helps shade the new grass growing underneath. You can also leave the grass clippings on your lawn to return those nutrients back in to the earth.
Fertilising: Choose the correct fertiliser for your lawn for the best results. Read the labels on the bag, or ask your gardening store for advice for which fertiliser best suits your grass type.
